San Diego Festival Chorus June 20, 2007 Dear Friends of the Chorus: Our annual chorus general meeting and summer picnic is scheduled for Sunday August 26 at 3:00 PM. While we greatly appreciate the hospitality extended to us by the Isaacson and Star families in hosting past general picnic meetings, we thought it might be fun to try something different this time. The Festival Chorus Board has suggested a dinner meeting at a local restaurant. This would eliminate the problem of setting up and tearing down the equipment which takes considerable effort and time. We have selected Mareciaro’s Italian Restaurant at 845 North Second Street in El Cajon for our August 26th General/dinner meeting. Tony and Greta have checked out the facility and have eaten there several times. Reports from chorus members also indicate that this is a good choice for our dinner meeting. Their food and service are very good and their prices are reasonable. Mareciaro’s also has a meeting room that seats 65 people. Following the general meeting we plan to show the excellent DVD preview of our May 6th concert prepared by Lee and Dorothy Wise. Many of us have seen portions of the DVD and the picture quality, sound and editing are superb. Copies of the May 6th concert DVD’s and CD’s will be on sale following the showing at the meeting. Since Mareciaro’s meeting room can only accommodate 65 people, the first 65 respondents who return their completed questionnaire with their full payment check before Wednesday August 1st will be included. The cost per person is $17.00 which includes large portions of salad, pasta, pizza and soft drink selection, state tax and the 18 % service gratuity. Wine and beer are available but must be ordered and paid for individually at the cash register. The food is served family style and the portions are generous. Please select from each of the food categories listed on this page and follow the instructions for sending it in. This will provide a food preparation estimate for the chef owner. (Please place numeral 1 for one person and 2 if husband and wife, significant other or more that will attend.) The number of persons must be reflected in the check total. $17.00 x number of people = (total). Sorry, due to the seating limitations, children are excluded.
